Our Commitment

Piqo Player is a local photo and video viewer. You do not need an account to use the app, and the app does not upload your imported media to us.

Accounts and Advertising

• No account required — no sign-up or email address is needed to use the app.
• No advertising or cross-app tracking — the app does not display advertisements or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
• Local media playback — browsing and playing imported media does not require an internet connection.

Your Data

Photos, videos, album information, and playback positions are stored in the app's private storage on your device. Piqo Player does not provide a media upload or cloud synchronization service. Device backups and any cloud file providers you use are managed separately through your device and those services.

App Updates

The app uses Expo's EAS Update service to check for and download software updates. Requests include a random identifier for the app installation, operating system and runtime information, and update identifiers. When recovering from a failure, the app may also send technical error information and failed-update identifiers. This information supports update delivery and recovery, and analysis of update adoption and reliability; it is not used by Piqo Player for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps and websites.

The installation identifier persists across app launches, so update and diagnostic information can be associated with the same app installation.

Piqo Player does not connect this update information to a user account, and the update service does not upload your imported media files. See Expo's privacy explanation and privacy policy for its processing and retention practices.

Encryption

Piqo Player supports importing encrypted .piqo media packages. The app decrypts these packages locally on your device.

App Lock

If you enable App Lock, Piqo Player stores a salted hash of your PIN in its local settings database and uses it to verify the PIN you enter. Face ID and Touch ID authentication are handled by the operating system; the app receives the authentication result and does not receive or store your biometric data.

Children's Privacy

The app does not ask users to provide their age or date of birth. The data handling described in this policy applies to all users.
